Welcome to the LFG License for Creativity (LFC)

Logical Fantasy Gaming (LFG) is built to be enjoyed, shared, expanded, and brought to life by the community. You are encouraged to make your own worlds, campaigns, adventures, monsters, characters, and supplements that work with LFG!

Following this license and attribution rules, you are hereby granted permission to:

- Create and publish compatible content, such as campaign settings, adventures, subclasses, new races, rules variants, items, and more.
- Reference LFG’s classes, races, or spells by name (e.g., "compatible with the LFG Rogue class").
- Share or sell your compatible material under the following terms:

Modding Terms:

• You may not reproduce or reprint Reserved Material verbatim.

• You must clearly state that your content is unofficial and compatible with Logical Fantasy Gaming (LFG).

• You may not use LFG logos, artwork, or trademarks without written permission.

• You may not publish complete, standalone games that substantially replicate the LFG system or its Reserved elements.

Examples:

-Create a new class designed to work with LFG — allowed with attribution.

-Publish a module that references the Valefor race or a sorcerer’s Arcane Infusions — allowed with attribution.

-Republish the LFG Rogue, Fighter, or Aesir entries with only minor changes — not allowed.

-Create a new sci-fi RPG that uses the Selective Initiative System — allowed with attribution.

-Implement the LFG wrestling skill rules and advertise them as your own creation — not allowed.

-This license applies worldwide and in all languages.

Open Content (Available for Use with Attribution)

The following elements are designated as Open Content and may be freely used, adapted, and published under this license, provided attribution is given (see Attribution Requirements):

• All game mechanics, rules text, and system procedures not otherwise designated as Reserved Material

• The Selective Initiative System (SIStem or SIS), including its name, mechanics, and abbreviations

• All combat and skill mechanic names, terminology, and effects unique to LFG (such as Take 5, Nat20 Maneuvers, Active Defense, Wrestling, Momentum of Impact, Perfect Critical, Killer Critical, Crossbow Loading, Quick Attacks, Conditions, etc.)

• All core rules governing character creation, races, classes, abilities, skills, feats, spells, combat, and advancement

• Monster stats and abilities, NPC Goons, generic examples, and reference tables that do not include Reserved Material

• All weapons, armor, shields, equipment, magic items, and rules regarding their effects, creation, storage, and use

• You may state “Compatible with Logical Fantasy Gaming (LFG)” on your material, provided you follow the attribution requirements.

Reserved Materials (Not Open for Use)

The following are Reserved Materials and may not be copied, redistributed, or sold without express written permission from Daniel Brillat

• The name Logical Fantasy Gaming and the abbreviation LFG, as well as the LFG logos, branding, and trade dress

• All Icon characters, including but not limited to Chessan, Clover, Greghen, Kardalys, Krysta, Mayat, Rock, Sokaris, and Wulfric

• All original flavor text, narrative examples, in-world fiction, named settings, stories, lore, and narrative content unique to LFG

• Class, race, and monster introductory and descriptive texts

• All artwork, layout, maps, logos, character sheet designs, and graphic design elements

• Any proper names, distinctive items, creatures, or terminology designated by Daniel Brillat as Reserved Material in future works

• All Reserved Materials remain the exclusive property of Daniel Brillat

• The terms official or authorized, which may only be used by Daniel Brillat in connection with LFG products

• Some artwork is used under license or by permission from contributing artists. Such works remain the property of their respective creators and are not covered by the LFG LFC.

Attribution Requirements

All published works using this license must include the following statements:

• On the Front Cover (visible and readable):
  “Compatible with Logical Fantasy Gaming (LFG)”

• Inside the Product (credits page or back cover):
  “This product contains Open Content material from Logical Fantasy Gaming (LFG), © 2021 Daniel Brillat, released under the LFG License for Creativity (LFC). LFG, its logos, icon characters, and narrative content are Reserved Material. This is an unofficial LFG‑compatible product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by LFG or Daniel Brillat.”
