Intro to Feats

What are Feats? Feats are special features that either grant you new capabilities or enhance those you already have. A Feat normally represents an ability gained through practice, study, or active experience, though some could be developed through physical maturation, the awakening of internal arcane power, or divine enlightenment. Unlike class abilities, Feats are individually selectable, and may be acquired by any character who meets the prerequisites, allowing a wide array of customization options.

How do I gain Feats?

Feats are acquired by gaining character levels. You may only add a Feat to your character when indicated by the following rules:

-Every creature gains a single Feat at level 1.

-Every creature gains one Feat for every 3 total levels. (You gain a Feat at Character Level 3,6,9,12,15,18)

-You are allowed to take a Feat only if you possess all listed prerequisites. Feats with no prerequisites are available for all characters.

-Certain classes grant bonus Feats when you reach certain levels. See your class description for details. If a class grants you a particular bonus Feat, but you already have that Feat, you may select any other Feat for which you possess all the required prerequisites.

-Some races grant Feats that you may add to your character upon creation. See your race description for details.

-You may never select a Feat more than once unless specifically indicated in the Feat’s description.
